D'ANN & HER YOUNG ATTENDANTS

.

The Bride w/ her younger attendants.

D'Ann with her younger attendants. The two boys in the white turtle neck sweaters are twins and are brothers to the dark haired boy standing on the floor at the right edge of the picture. The boys standing on the step and seen over either of D'Ann's shoulders are brothers. They had to come from Paris, France, to be in the wedding. (Of course, their parents had other business in Texas too) Their mother was one of the bride's attendants. The boy and girl on the right side of the picture are brother & sister.
The pillow being carried by the boy on D'Ann's right was made by the bride's mother from bridal satin left over from the POCKETS (right!) that just HAD to be put into the wedding dress. The pillow is trimmed with pieces of tatting made by bride's mother, bride's maternal grandmother, bride's maternal greatgrandmother, and maternal GRANDFATHER (That is correct.), and crocheted motif's made by the paternal grandmother. In one of the pockets was a handkerchief that was trimmed with tatting made by the bride's paternal greatgrandmother.
