Frequently Asked Question

What is the TTIF and why do I pay it?

The TTIF (Texas Technology Infrastructure Fund) is a tax (the state calls it a fee) that we have to collect since we sell telecommunications services. This fund will generate 150 million dollars per year for the next ten years to be used to build a telecommunications infrastructure for our schools, libraries, hospitals, and governments.

Only telecommunication sales are subject to this fee. If you purchase some other item, such as a hard disk or memory, it will not be assessed the TTIF charge.

The current rate for TTIF is 1.029% of all telecommunications sales.

TTIF is subject to sales tax.
