Why do I mail my payment to Hamilton? |
Hometown Computing is a distributed office with several locations. Each office has responsibilities. The Hamilton office is responsible for billing and bookeeping. Even though you mail the check to Hamilton, the sales tax district you are located in gets credit for the sale. Since we sell telecommunications products that the customer receives in his or her home, we have to charge the sales tax rate appropriate for the customers location. So even though you may be mailing the check out of town, you are still supporting a local company and supporting your local community with your sales tax dollars. |
