We must patrol our area of responsibility 24 hours a day.
Times have changed, and we must change to meet the new challenges and the future.
The safety of the citizens should be the number one priority of the Sheriff's Department.
I want to get back to the basics of the motto "To Serve and To Protect".
ONCE ELECTED SHERIFF, I WILL
Take an aggressive approach to serving hot check warrents this will help the businesses who are owed the money as well as benefiting the county through fines collected for the service.
Work closely with the district attorney and county attorney's office to eliminate jail overcrowding.
Become more active in rural patrol.
Return to a 24 hour patrol.
Work closely with Coryell County Commissioners to spend revenues in a more benificial way.
Handle every incident with the dedication and commitment necessary for justice to be served.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Experience as Jailer, Constable, Dispatcher, Investigator and Deputy with 11 years of patrol experience.
Two(2) years experience working for the 52nd Judicial Court.
Successful independant businessman
Coryell County Deputy of the Year 1996 & 2002.
Law Enforcement Instructor Certification, and Jailers License.
Advanced peace officer certification.
Graduate of Central Texas College Police Academy.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND
Johnny has been married
to Cheryl for 15 years and has two(2) married daughters, Britney and Whitney, and one
son Rance.
Whitney is married to Justin Carothers. Whitney attends college
and Justin is a business owner in Gatesville.
