Improve & Preserve Watershed Quality by Brush Sculpting

“Brush Sculpting”, i.e. the planned selective control of brush to benefit wildlife habitat, agriculture production, and improve and preserve watershed quality.

Selective removal of unwanted vegetation will serve to protect our natural resources for future generations.  Mature ash junipers or "cedar" trees consume an excess amount of water daily.

In addition, they can also transport disease by providing carriers an abundant dense path in close proximity to desirable trees and plants.  Cedars often gather in the drip lines of large oak trees, facilitating the spread of oak wilt.

Xeriscaping Services

To aid in your efforts as land steward, we can also help to replace undesirable vegetation with desirable native plants and trees compatible with your region, including wildflower wild-game-specific applications.

All too often, an aggressive clearing approach will clear everything except red and live oak trees, leaving the landowner with barren pastures after a bout of oak wilt.  A plan resulting in a diverse mix of native brush and trees benefitting wildlife and our natural resources is the best approach, including native trees like cedar elms, native persimmon, native walnut, native cherry, other hardwoods and even a few first growth cedars.

Our expertise and services are fine-tuned to the landowner's needs, as well as the needs of Texas' natural resources.  Improving and preserving watershed quality, as well as our abundant wildlife habitat, are always considered in our service applications.  Whether the "prescription" calls for equipment with specialty attachments such as shears or saws, or selective hand clearing to prevent injury to mature oaks, you can rest assured our expertise will zero in on the right method for each area of your land.

Every piece of land is as unique as the owner, and each requires a different approach to blend the needs of the land steward and the environment.  Give us a call and we will give you our best effort in designing and implementing the right approach for your goals.

A selective clearing approach also aids in the preservation of our natural resources for future generations of "wildlife" – and not just the 4-legged kind!
