The Candlelight Sanctuary

This morning as I was doing my outside chores,I became aware of a ruckus coming from behind our garage. It was one of my chickens in distress, so, I immediately went to investigate. As I rounded the corner of the building I saw the family dog mauling one of my Silver Laced Wyandotte hens. Fortunately, I arrived on the scene in time to prevent any serious harm to the chicken, but I contemplated thoughts of doing something similar to the dog. However, since there was no harm done, except for the hole he dug under the fence, he got off with a good scolding.

Otherwise, I’ve been experimenting with my new Word Press web journal; visiting others using this journal publishing platform and trying to get some ideas for topics and categories. It has provided much food for thought. There are so many interesting ways to design and set it up I know I won’t be able to make any firm decisions at the outset. There will have to be set-up changes as I progress. So, I’ll just start posting away for now and see where to put it all later.
