51. Addie Mae GRISHAM (18.James3, 4.Andrew2, 1.George1)  was born 11 March, 1889, Blue Ridge, Hamilton County, TX and was baptized 20 August, 1902, by the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Hamilton County, TX.  Addie married  Benjamin Hill LASSETTER on 20 December, 1908, in Callahan County, TX.   Benjamin Hill LASSETTER (son of James Hill LASSETTER and Icey Luella LECROY) was  born 11 June, 1885.  Hill was a Baptist preacher until he abandoned his wife and six small children.  Addie worked as a seamstress in a men's clothing store in Lawton, OK, to support her family. Addie reared her children alone after Hill Lassetter deserted her and their children.

Addie died 30 November,  1947, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Addie was buried in  Highland Cemetery, Lawton, Comanche County, OK.

Hill Lassetter deserted his family when his children were small. Hill may have been born in 1888 (Retha Lassetter) or 1889 (Angy Lassetter).  His children believed that Hill later became a chiropractor in California, but died in an auto accident in Alaska or California.  Hill changed his name and concealed his identity from his family.  Perhaps he died about 1960.
