48. Charles Ephraim "Charlie" GRISHAM (18.James³, 4.Andrew², 1.George¹) was born 04 January, 1881.  When I wrote a newspaper obituary for Uncle Charlie, I was told that he was born in  Fannin County, TX; however, Hamilton County would be more likely since there is proof that his parents were in Hamilton County, TX, before 4 July, 1880, when they were charter members of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church.  Charlie was baptized 22 August, 1897, by the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Hamilton Co, TX, Church.  Charlie was a  farmer. 

Charlie married Myrtie Onie "Myrtle" DEATHRAGE on 2 August, 1908, in Callahan County, TX. Myrtie Onie "Myrtle" DEATHRAGE (daughter of Allen DEATHRAGE and Mary Jane "Jennie" TREADWAY)  was born 21 October, 1883, in  McNairy County, TN.  Myrtle was baptized in 1901, by the Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church, in Fannin Co, TX.  Myrtle died 26 November, 1937, in the family home at Blue Ridge, Hamilton County, TX, and was buried 28 November, 1937, in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX.

Charlie died 21 May, 1951, in the family home at Blue Ridge, Hamilton County, TX.  He was buried 22 May, 1951, in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX.

Children:

i Margaret Corene GRISHAM , born 30 April, 1909, Callahan County, TX. Corene was baptized in July, 1921, by the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Hamilton Co, TX, Church where she was church pianist for many years. Corene was a saleslady in a retail store in Hamilton.  She was married to Charles Riley WALKER on 26 September, 1945, in Hamilton, Hamilton County, TX,  by Rev. R. C. Tennison.   Charles Riley WALKER was born 6 September, 1905, and was baptized 8 October, 1933, by the Blue Ridge Baptist Church.  Charles was a mechanic and a farmer who died 15 December, 1997, Hamilton, Hamilton County, TX.  Charles was buried 16 December,  1997, in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX.   Charles was ordained as a deacon by Blue Ridge Baptist Church.  Corene died 31 December, 1995, Hamilton, Hamilton County, TX and was buried 3 January, 1996, Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX. Corene excelled in many crafts and needlework projects. Charles and Corene had no children, but were adored by their nieces,  nephews, and young cousins.  Corene taught a primary Sunday School class  for many years.  She told impressive Bible stories using a small box full of sand and people cut from catalogs and glued to cardboard so that they would stand up in the sand.  Charles was the song leader for Blue Ridge Baptist Church for several decades. Charles served in the US Army in Europe during World War II.
