47. Ida Rose Anna GRISHAM (18.James³, 4.Andrew², 1.George¹)  was born 15 September, 1878, Fannin County, TX.  Ida was born within 2 weeks of her family's arrival in Fannin County, TX from Mississippi. Her head was small enough to fit into a teacup and her entire body could be held in an adult's  hand.  Ida was baptized 4 September, 1893, by the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Hamilton County, TX.

IDA ROSE ANNA GRISHAM and ROBERT JEFF FERGUSSON

Robert Jeff FERGUSSON, (son of William Henry Jarius "Billy" FERGUSSON and Sarah Alexander "Sallie" ADCOCK) was born 05 February, 1878, in Falls County, TX.  Jeff was a  Baptist, a farmer, and a carpenter, who died 24 January, 1954, in  Hamilton, Hamilton County, TX.  Jeff was buried 25 January, 1954, in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX. 

Ida learned to play the pump organ to provide accompaniment for church services of the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, as well as for a quartet composed of two younger brother and two younger sisters. 

Ida died 14 July, 1948, in the family home in the  Blue Ridge community of Hamilton County, TX.  Ida  was buried 16 July, 1948, in the Blue Ridge Cemetery, Hamilton County, TX.  


In the 1900 US Census for Hamilton County, TX, not only were Jeff and Ida listed in their own home, but also, each was listed as a single person in the home of his/her respective parents. 

Jeff's mother's name is incomplete on his death certificate. The name listed was Sallie Alexander. Her correct name was Sarah Alexander "Sallie" Adcock. Alexander was her middle name, not her surname. Jeff died as he was drying his breakfast dishes. He sat down in a straight chair next to the cabinet before he died. When we (Verne, Elsie, and Elreeta) found him a few hours later, he was still sitting in the chair holding a dish towel and a cup. Jeff and Ida lived almost all of their almost 50-year-married life in Hamilton County
